Is Your PC Ready for Battlefield 4? Check out the System Requirements

Just recently, the official PC system requirement of the upcoming FPS game, Battlefield 4, has been revealed. BF4’s system requirements reveals that most of the mainstream setup can very much handle the game, unlike with Crysis 3 that requires high end graphics card and processor just to enjoy its max settings. Check out the minimum and recommended system requirements below.

Battlefield 4 System Requirements

The requirements say that you need to be at least running on Windows Vista SP2 43-bit with KB971512 Platform update. Sorry for Windows XP users, but it seems that you need to upgrade. I guess Windows 7 users can play this game since Windows 7 is newer compared to Vista. But it is with Windows 8 only can you experience the DirectX 11.1 features of the game.

A Dual Core AMD or Intel processor also seems to get the job done. But if you want a lag-less experience and fast loading time, even a 2nd generation Intel Sandy Bridge Quad Core processor can very much handle the game. 4GB is pretty much the max memory size that a 32-bit OS can use, and of course if you are using a 64-bit OS, 8GB is definitely recommended.

You also need at least an AMD Radeon HD 3870 or a GeForce 8800 GT to be able to play this game. These graphics cards are so old now, and if you have newer and faster cards you can definitely play this game. For you to max out the settings and enjoy premium gaming experience, the recommended graphics card is at least an AMD Radeon HD 7870 or a GeForce GTX 660, which by the way are very much affordable right now.

Currently, you can get a Radeon HD 7870 for as low as $184.99, or a GeForce GTX 660 for as low as $198.99. All these graphics cards are sub $200 and should be affordable enough for you to experience max settings. Of course if you have more budget and plan to play other games with much more demanding system requirements, you can also get the latest graphics cards currently on the market.

For mobile gamers, the latest Intel Haswell-powered gaming laptops like the ASUS G750JW or the MSI GE70 2OE can handle the game, with their Core i7 quad core processor and GTX 765M discrete graphics processor. The ASUS G750JW-DB71 is only $1,399, while the MSI GE70 2OE-017US is only $1,299.
