A couple of weeks ago, a certain photo of the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 PGF Edition surfaced, including screenshots of the new Zotac FireStorm utility. I thought the PGF Edition is going to be the new brand of Zotac’s graphics card and ended the AMP series with the GTX 900 series. But photos of the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! and Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme Editions recently surfaced. Check them out below.
Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! and GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme
The new Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! and GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme Editions pretty much look like their predecessors, specially the AMP! Extreme variant. The front cooler shroud of the Extreme variant looks very familiar and with added LED lighting effect. The backplate design, however, looks different, but still carrying that “Push The Limit” slogan.
Basically, the new Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Series cards will feature Zotac’s IceStorm paired with Carbon ExoArmor, Freeze and PowerBoost, plus Spectra. I’m guessing that its LED lighting effect (Spectra) is RBG capable.
As of now, the specifications of these new cards are still unknown. But we expect the Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Series to feature a whooping factory overclock settings, specially with the GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme Edition. The GTX 980 Ti AMP! was a very impressive performing graphics cards, easily overclockable. I can’t wait to see how fast these new cards will go.
I’m guessing it may have at least 2GHz of GPU clock speed, considering that it features Power Boost and an 8+6pin power connector setup. We will definitely learn more about these new cards on Computex 2016, by next week.
