In testing the Zotac GeForce GTX 970 AMP! Extreme Core Edition, I tested it with a Gigabyte Z97X Gaming G1 WiFi BK motherboard powered with an Intel Core i7-4770K. The CPU is running at 3.9GHz during the test and gaming sessions. Below are the rest of the system specs and memory configurations:

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X Gaming G1 WiFi BK
Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K @ 3.9GHz
CPU Cooler: DeepCool Captain 360
Memory: KLEVV Genuine 8GB DDR3-2666
Graphics card: Zotac GeForce GTX 970 AMP! Extreme Core Edition
Storage Drives: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB (OS drive), Crucial BX100 500GB (Game drive)
Power Supply: Seasonic 1050W Platinum
Chassis: DimasTech Bench Table Easy V3.0

Aside from the mentioned specifications above and the driver version you see from the GPUZ screenshot, all games were running on 1080p resolution with V-Sync turned off, and graphics quality was at their maximum possible settings.

NOTE: The other graphics cards included in the graphs were not tested at the same time I tested the Zotac GTX 970 AMP! Extreme Core. They were tested previously using different driver versions or were tested on a different system. I included their data in the graph for reference and comparison only. These cards are the Club 3D R9 285, Asus GTX 780 Poseidon, Asus GTX 780 Ti, and Asus Radeon R9 290.

    • Hi Jesús. Thanks! Glad you liked the review. The sample we got doesn’t have any coil whine issues. As for VRAM, it depends on the game you are playing. It’s usually just around 3GB, or less. Haven’t tested it on 4K yet.
