At CES 2023, AMD announced its latest processors designed for gaming. Unlike the previous generation, which only got a 5800X3D, AMD released three X3D processors this time, all based on the new Zen 4 architecture. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D leads the pack, followed by the Ryzen 9 7900X3D and, finally, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Honestly, I was only expecting the Ryzen 7 7800X3D since a “7800” CPU was the only missing SKU when AMD announced the new Zen 4 processors. Aside from the X3D variant, AMD also announced a non-X variant of the Zen 4 CPUs. These non-X variants are cheaper and have a slightly lower TDP. We’ll post a specs comparison shortly. Meanwhile, you can check out the official news release below for more details about these new CPUs.
