It’s DisplayHDR 1400 certified and features a 144Hz refresh rate with Quantum-dot technology. This is perhaps the best 4K gaming monitor (yet) released this year. Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX – Best 4K Gaming Monitor?

Asus officially announced that the ROG Swift PG32UQX will be available on shelves starting the end of May 2021. Like I mentioned earlier, pre-order has already ended at this point. But hopefully, retailers will have them for sale very soon.

The ROG Swift PG32UQX is a 32″-inch, 4K HDR gaming monitor with 144Hz NVIDIA G-SYNC Ultimate. It has full-array local dimming (FALD) across 1,152 independent mini LED zones that give it a peak brightness of 1400 nits. While quantum-dot technology and true 10-bit color depth enable over a billion colors for accuracy and smoother gradations. It also features Display Stream Compression technology and supports variable refresh rate (VRR) technology on Xbox Series X via HDMI.

To be specific, the maximum SDR is around 500 nits of brightness. While in HDR mode, the typical brightness is 1,400 nits. It also has a 98% of DCI-P3 and 160% of sRGB. It’s a 4K monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a resolution of 3840×2160.

If you have one of the latest RTX 3080 / RTX 3090 or the upcoming RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, this monitor would be a great pair. These graphics cards can drive games at 4K at high refresh rates. Combine that with G-Sync Ultimate to deliver the very best gaming experiences, including lifelike HDR, stunning contrast, cinematic color, and ultra-low-latency gameplay.

The Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX 4K gaming monitor is also built with a LiveDash OLED display and OSD dial to improve the user experience. The LiveDash is a 2″-inch OLED panel located at the lower bezel of the monitor. It can be programmed to show useful system information such as temperatures, voltages, fan speeds, or system frequency.
