Audio Technica unveiled their new E-Series Professional In-Ear Monitor headphones geared towards demanding sound professionals and musicians who use IEMs in a studio, on the stage or in a DJ booth. The new E-Series is composed of the Audio Technica ATH-E70, the flagship in this series, followed by the ATH-E50 and the ATH-E40. The ATH-E70 features three balanced armature drivers, while the ATH-E50 is powered by a single balanced armature driver. The cheapest in this line, ATH-E40, features a proprietary dual phase push-pull driver. The E-Series are said to bring the sonic signature of the M-series to an in-ear design and are also compatible with the M2 and M3 in-ear monitor wireless system. More details below.
