The Asus STRIX GTX 980 DirectCU II OC is also one of the best GeForce GTX 980 out there. It’s basically being cooled by the same DirectCU II technology, but it features the new 0dB technology in which the fans will not turn on until it reaches a certain temperature. The STRIX series are one of the most silent graphics card on the market, not to mention they are also power efficient as well. It has a base clock speed of 1178MHz and a boost clock speed of 1279MHz. It also features DIGI+ VRM with 10-phase Super Alloy Power for longer life and stability.
The Asus STRIX GTX 980 has 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM coupled to 2048 CUDA GPU cores. The cores are arranged using NVIDIA’s Maxwell architecture for efficient operation. Graphics intensive programs can utilize the Maxwell architecture’s parallel configuration of the CUDA cores to speed up render times and other tasks that benefit from parallel processing. It also supports 4K resolution at 60fps, and NVIDIA Surround up to 3x 2K monitors.
