Club 3D Radeon R9 285 royalQueen Features
The Club 3D Radeon R9 285 royalQueen uses the latest iteration of the Graphics Core Next Architecture and gains all the nice features found on the existing R9 290 series as well as the R7 260, supporting natively Eyefinty on the Dual DVI ports + HDMI making it easy for an Eyefinity 3 setup and AMD TrueAudio support.
The Radeon R9 285 is AMD’s first discreet GPU with a redesigned fixed-funtion decoder (UVD – Unified Video Decoder) that supports full hardware decode of 4K H.264 videos. This next generation UVD supports H.264 base, main and high profile, up to level 5.2. The primary benefit of having a fixed-function decoder, especially for high bit-rate 4K content, is the significantly reduced CPU utilization. This result in a more responsive system and more importantly, the system will not exhibit any skipped frames during playback.
It also provides superior compute performance across a wide number of applications. With a growing number of applications in the market leveraging OpenCL and GPGPU performance in general, this is becoming even more important to the end user.

The first of our new titles is Alien: Isolation. Fans of the classic film series have been eagerly awaiting this release for a while, and the early word is that it’s going to meet gamers’ expectations.
Star Citizen is a bit unusual in that it is being released as a series of successive modules. What is included in Never Settle Edition is not the game itself, but rather a custom designed and liveried AMD ship – the Star Citizen Mustang Omega Variant Racer by Accelerated Mass Design – for use in the Star Citizen multiplayer module “Arena Commander” and the “Murray Cup Race Series”. It can also be used to play Star Citizen (the full game) but additional fees may apply. The Star Citizen Mustang Variant Racer availability has been communicated as September 30th, 2014, but Gamers can choose it now and receive access to their FREE AMD custom designed “Racer” on September 30th.
