Corsair MP600 PRO LPX M.2 NVMe SSD Made for PC and PS5

CORSAIR recently announced the launch of a new M.2 Solid State Drive crafted for PlayStation 5 – the MP600 PRO LPX. Available in capacities from 500GB up to a colossal 4TB*, the MP600 PRO LPX expands your console’s storage in a specially built compact form factor that meets or exceeds all performance requirements. Installation takes minutes, does not affect your console’s warranty, and is instantly detected by your system on startup, enabling up to 4TB of additional capacity. Loading large game files blisteringly fast – directly from the SSD – MP600 PRO LPX leaves external storage alternatives in the dust and allows you to experience your games at their uninterrupted best.

Beneath its low-profile heatsink, the MP600 PRO LPX boasts extreme storage performance with up to 7,100MB/sec sequential read and 6,800MB/sec sequential write speeds* for phenomenal read, write, and response times. Corsair MP600 PRO vs PRO XT vs PRO LPX

Currently, there are three different variants of the MP600 PRO series. The MP600 PRO, the MP600 PRO XT, and the new MP600 PRO LPX. The MP600 PRO is the older drive and uses Micron (B27B) 96L TLC NAND flash chips. Meanwhile, the PRO XT and PRO LPX use a newer Micron (B47R) 176-Layer 3D TLC drive. It results in slightly faster read and write speeds for the PRO XT and PRO LPX.

The MP600 PRO LPX is closer to the XT, particularly in the performance and specs. The only difference is the PRO XT has a larger heatsink; measuring 80mm x 23mm x 19mm. Meanwhile, the PRO LPX measures 80mm x 23mm x 11mm, which would perfectly fit inside a PS5.
