Crucial MX500 SSD CrystalDiskMark Benchmark Results
CrystalDiskMark is very popular storage benchmark tool. It’s a disk benchmark software that measure sequential reads/writes speed, measure random 512KB, 4KB, 4KB (Queue Depth=32) reads/writes speed, select test data (Random, 0Fill, 1Fill). Below are the results I got with the MX500 1TB and 500GB capacities.

Once again, we see the MX500 1TB and 500GB landing somewhere in the middle of the stack. While it may not completely obliterate the competition in all aspects, take note that we are already nearing the limits of SATA 6 speed.
Finally, let’s see how the MX500 series performs with the PCMark 8 storage benchmark. This benchmark suite takes several hours to complete and will most likely check all aspects of the SSD, specially its performance as a whole.
