Diablo IV PC System Requirements Revealed – Is Your PC Ready For Hell?

Diablo IV is just a few weeks away from its official release date, June 6. Hopefully, all will go smoothly, and the game will finally be released. But before that, is your gaming PC ready to enter hell? Can it handle Diablo IV? Blizzard recently revealed the system requirements for the said game. Diablo IV is not a graphics-intensive game, unlike Cyberpunk 2077, since Blizzard wants more gamers to play the game. However, if you want to experience the game in all its glory, you need a fairly powerful gaming PC. Check out the system requirements below.

Is You Gaming PC Ready To Enter Hell? – Diablo IV PC System Requirements

Below are the current minimum and recommended system requirements for Diablo IV on Windows®. Due to potential programming changes, these requirements may change over time.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: 64-bit Windows® 10 version 1909 or newer
  • Processor: Intel® Core i5-2500K or AMD™ FX-8350
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660 or AMD Radeon™ R9 280
  • DirectX®: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD with 90 GB available space
  • Internet: Broadband Connection

* 1080p native resolution / 720p render resolution, low graphics settings, 30fps
** Diablo IV will attempt to run on hardware below minimum specifications, including HDDs, dual-core CPUs, and Integrated GPUs. However, the game experience may be significantly diminished.

As you can see, even an old system can play Diablo IV. According to Blizzard, the game will attempt to run even if your system is old and slow. However, do not expect a good gaming experience.

Medium (Recommended Requirements)

I’m positive that there are still many PC gamers who are using a 1080p monitor. Below are the recommended requirements to achieve at least 60 fps with medium graphics quality.

  • OS: 64-bit Windows® 10 version 1909 or newer
  • Processor: Intel® Core i5-4670K or AMD™ R3-1300X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970 or AMD Radeon™ RX 470
  • DirectX®: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD with 90 GB available space
  • Internet: Broadband Connection

* 1080p resolution, medium graphics settings, 60fps

High Settings

For those who want to experience better graphics, you need at least a GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5700, paired with a Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 2700X. Again, this is only for 1080p resolution, and if you use a 1440p monitor, you will need a more powerful GPU to handle Diablo IV.

  • OS: 64-bit Windows® 10 version 1909 or newer
  • Processor: Intel® Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen™ 2700X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 XT
  • DirectX®: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD with 90 GB available space
  • Internet: Broadband Connection

* 1080p resolution, high graphics settings, 60fps

Diablo IV Ultra 4k System Requirements

Finally, you will need a fairly powerful GPU for those who demand the best gaming experience or play the game at 4K resolution with ultra graphics settings. Not necessarily one of the best RTX 4090 graphics cards, but at least an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT.

  • OS: 64-bit Windows® 10 version 1909 or newer
  • Processor: Intel® Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen™ 7 2700X
  • Memory: 32 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 3080; NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 40 Series for fully supported DLSS3 or AMD Radeon™ RX 6800 XT
  • DirectX®: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD with 90 GB available space
  • Internet: Broadband Connection

* 4k resolution, ultra graphics settings, 60fps

The RTX 3080 10G is equivalent to the new RTX 4070 in 1080p and 1440p performance, as we have seen from our review. So, for 4K gaming, you may need at least an RTX 4070 Ti or perhaps one of the best RTX 4080 cards to enjoy this game at 4K ultra. I’m sure the new Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT can also handle this game at 4K.

Aside from the system requirements, Blizzard also shared additional information regarding the classes you can choose from in Diablo IV.
