Enermax recently announced their second generation LIQMAX All-In-One CPU liquid cooler series, the Enermax LIQMAX II. It has two models; the LIQMAX II 120S and the LIQMAX II 240. LIQMAX II features a new cooling block with advanced impellers, ENERMAX patented Shunt Channel Technology (S.C.T) and the 2nd generation batwing fans with patented APS (Adjustable Peak Speed) triple RPM range setting function. LIQMAX II 120S and 240 TDP are rated at 320W+ and 350W+ respectively, and support the most modern CPU socket types, including LGA1150, LGA2011, AM3+ and FM2+. Enermax Liqmax II Series Features
High efficiency Cooling Block
ENERMAX’s patented Shunt Channel Technology (S.C.T) is a dramatic improvement on thermal performance. This precise technique successfully boosts heat exchange efficiency by eliminating the boundary layers and increases the coolant exchange ratio. LIQMAX II continuously adopts this technology on the copper cooling base plate of the cooling block. Moreover, the advanced impellers enable increased pumping pressure strength to keep the smooth coolant circulation. The pump inside the cooling block is a ceramic beating pump, featuring high corrosion resistance, noiseless operation and exceptional durability with MTBF 50,000 hrs.
2ndGeneration Batwing Fan
Both Enermax LIQMAX II 120S and 240 include two 2nd generation batwing fans equipped with ENERMAX’s patented smart APS control. The new batwing blades design not only provides +20-30% more airflow than conventional blades, but also creates continuous burst air. This creates powerful air pressure that will penetrate the radiators to dissipate heat instantly. In addition, ENERMAX’s patented APS control on the fan frame allows users to adjust their preferred speed setting without uninstalling the fans: 500-1200/1600/2000 RPM. Anti-vibration rubber pads are added on the corners of the fan to eliminate the operation vibration and noise.
User Friendly Design
Enermax LIQMAX II offers certain features which make the experience more intuitive and delightful. The durable rubber tube on the LIQMAX II is elastic and features zero permeability. The LED logo on the cooling block indicates power status. LIQMAX II offers pressure adjustment spring screws to ensure a perfect contact force between the cooling block and CPU without damaging the CPU. The Dow Corning TC-5121 thermal conductivity grease that is included is highly recommended by professional users and media.
