EVGA X299 Dark, X299 FTW K and X299 Micro Motherboards Announced

EVGA announces three X299 motherboards for Intel’s new Core X Series processors (Kaby Lake-X and Skylake-X). There are three motherboards starting with the EVGA X299 Dark – their flagship motherboard featuring an all-black design built for (extreme) overclockers. Next are the EVGA X299 FTW K and X299 Micro; for the first time we see RGB LED lighting on EVGA motherboards. The EVGA X299 FTW K leans towards high-end desktop PC builders and gamers who wants a nice looking motherboard that is great for all-around use. Meanwhile, the EVGA X299 Micro, is the company’s solution for system builders who wants a smaller footprint than a full ATX motherboard. Check our more details about these new EVGA X299 motherboards below.

EVGA X299 Series Motherboards – Built to Perfection

The new EVGA X299 motherboard lineup is built for the next generation Intel X299 platform. These motherboards supports Intel’s latest Core X processors, supports Intel Optane, latest SSD standards, both M.2 and U.2 and many more. EVGA’s GUI BIOS focuses on functionality and overclocking support to give users power and ease of use. EVGA mentioned that these motherboards support up to 12-core / 24-thread CPUs and up to 44 PCIe 3.0 lanes. Obviously, that’s not the entire range of Intel’s upcoming processors if you have seen/read the news about Intel’s new Core X CPU family. Intel still has the Core i9-7940X, i9-7960X and i9-7980XE featuring 14C/28T, 16C/32T and 18C/36T respectively. But I’m more positive that these new motherboards will support those three top of the line CPUs as well.
