Recently, photos of the upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards were shared by VideoCardz. These are press or media photos and not the actual photos of the graphics card. These are not the first RTX 3090 Ti photos we have seen. The first one was the RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN Edition, thanks to EVGA for sharing it on its socmed page. If there’s only one word I could describe these RTX 3090 Ti, it’s chonky! Check them out below.
Various GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Graphics Cards Surfaced
Aside from the RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN Edition, EVGA will release the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra Edition. It’s no surprise at this point actually since we expect an “FTW3” model anyway. What is surprising though is the graphics card will occupy three full PCI slots space. The heat sink on this graphics card is thick.
In addition to the (very) thick heatsink, it will also feature the new PCIe 5.0 PCIe power connector. I think all RTX 3090 Ti will have this new power connector. As previously reported, the new connector will have a total of 12-pin connectors plus 4 smaller ones. Linus did a short video about the new ATX 3.0 standard and 12VHPWR power connector.
In addition to the EVGA RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra Edition, photos of the MSI RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X, and Colorful RTX 3090 Ti iGame Neptune and Vulcan OC graphics cards also surfaced.
GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Performance vs RTX 3090
At this point, there are no leaked benchmark results of the RTX 3090 Ti yet. However, CapframeX tweeted that the RTX 3090 Ti is around 10% faster than the RTX 3090 at 4K resolution. In addition, they also mentioned that it draws around 450W of power and can boost up to 2GHz.
GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Pricing and Release Date
The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is expected to be released by March 29th. I expect that reviews will go live as well before or on that day as well. As for its suggested retail price, there is no confirmed information yet.
The RTX 3090 came with an MSRP of $1,499. I am expecting the RTX 3090 Ti to be around $2,0000 or perhaps more. There were leaked prices of different RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards. And according to the leaked pricing, these graphics cards may cost from $3,000+ up to $4,000+ USD.
