I’m not sure why I didn’t see this before or was it just recently discounted? But, remember Gigabyte’s Project Stealth? The gaming PC build with no visible wires since all the ports are hidden at the back. Well, that Aorus Project Stealth DIY PC Kit is currently 40% off from its original list price. It’s currently selling for only $599.99. For that price, you get a Gigabyte Z690 motherboard, a GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming OC and a Gigabyte mid-tower PC case. You can check it at Amazon.com here. The crazy thing is that the graphics card alone costs around $600 in today’s market. You’re really getting a great deal here. But should you buy one?

Gigabyte AORUS Project Stealth DIY PC Kit Is Currently On Sale

The Gigabyte Aorus Project Stealth DIY PC kit comes with a Z690 Aorus Elite Stealth motherboard, a GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming OC 8G Stealth graphics card, and an Aorus C300G Stealth PC case. This kit was originally listed for $999.99. But, at the time this article was published, it was 40% off, bringing the price down to $599.99 only.

That’s a great deal right? Yes! Absolutely. But there are a few things that you need to know before getting one. If you noticed all the parts are under Gigabyte’s Stealth branding. This means that all three components are compatible with each other. The motherboard and graphics card may not be compatible or fit inside other cases since they have a unique cable routing.

For example, the RTX 3070 Gaming OC Stealth’s PCIe power connector is located on the other side of the graphics card. Meaning you won’t see any PCIe power cables on the front portion. The motherboard’s primary power connectors, SATA ports, and most or all of its headers are located on the other side of the motherboard. Yes, behind the motherboard.

The only thing you will see on the front side of the motherboard is the CPU socket, memory DIMM slots, and PCIe slots. The M.2 ports for NVMe SSD as well are located on the front portion, beneath the heatsinks.

So, basically, the Z690 Aorus Elite Stealth and RTX 3070 Gaming OC Stealth may not be compatible with other chassis or cases from other manufacturers. These components are specifically made for the Aorus C300G Stealth only.

What You Need To Add To the DIY PC Kit

Gigabyte’s Aorus Project Stealth is not an all-in-one PC. Again, you only get the motherboard, graphics card, and case. You need to buy additional parts to complete this system. So what’s missing from this kit?

I think these are the other essential PC components that you need to finish the build. As for the specific components, it is entirely up to you and your budget. For example, you can slap in a Core i5-12600K if you’re saving some cash. Or go all in with a Core i9-12900K for the best performance.

Its maximum height for the CPU air cooler is 170mm. But if you are planning to buy an AIO liquid CPU cooler, you can only install it on the front portion. The front area supports 3x120mm or 2x140mm, or up to a 360mm radiator or 280mm radiator. I don’t think you can install the radiator on the top portion of the case.
