Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC 8G Review – Better Value Card?

2160p Gaming Benchmark Results

3840 x 2160 or 4K UHD isn’t the intended resolution for the GeForce RTX 2070 Super. This resolution is really demanding as it is equivalent to four 1080p resolution. You’ll need at least an RTX 2080 Super or better yet an RTX 2080 Ti just to play games at a playable frame rate.

Of course, if you are going to playing eSport title games and other similar non-graphics intensive games, the RTX 2070 Super would be able to drive them at this resolution. As for non-gaming activity, the RTX 2070 Super doesn’t have any problems when paired with a 4K UHD monitor.

Below are the results that I got with the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC 8G at 3840×2160 resolution. All games are at their ultra or highest graphics quality as well.

As you can see from the results above, the RTX 2070 Super can only deliver around 35fps-45fps, give or take depending on the game, at 2160p resolution. It’s still playable, but not the smoothest gaming experience.

That’s the end of our game benchmark results for the Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC. Let’s proceed to the next page to conclude this review.

  1. The card has a nasty bug where the fans go to max speed at intervals when they should remain idle. If anyone has a fix, do leave a comment.
