Klevv Urbane DDR3 Memory Review: 8GB Dual Channel at 2400MHz

Price and Where to Buy

The KLEVV Urbane DDR3 memory kits are now available. At the time I published this review, the retail price of the Urbane DDR3-2400 8GB (2x4GB) is $100.99 USD.

KLEVV Urbane DDR3 Memory Review: Conclusion

At the end of the day the Klevv Urbane performed very well. In fact I didn’t expect that it would perform on par or a tad better than the Genuine. The sample I got currently retails for $100.99, meanwhile its Genuine counterpart is $50 more expensive. If you are not after for the LED effect on the Genuine, or you prefer the design and looks of the Urbane, I would definitely recommend the Urbane over the Genuine. It offers similar performance at a much lower cost. Not to mention, its heat spreader is made out of all metal material. Interestingly, the 8GB Urbane DDR3-2400 is priced/positioned in between the G.Skill TridentX DDR3-2400 8GB kit currently at $75 and Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR3-2400 8GB kit currently at $150.

Like I said in my review of the Klevv Genuine, Essencore didn’t enter the memory market with half-baked products. They came in prepared with weapons that can compete with other brands that are already in the market for several years. The Urbane, like the Genuine, is basically geared towards enthusiasts, system builders and gamers who are looking for a DDR3 memory that really performs, but offers a much more affordable price. For those who are in tight budget, they also have the Klevv Neo (which will be the topic of our next review).

Klevv Urbane DDR3 Review-10I personally like the design of the Klevv Urbane. It is stylish, elegant looking and it does blend with the system easily. I also like the Genuine, but I was a little bit turned off when I found out that the heat spreader wasn’t entirely composed of metal parts. Good thing the company entered the market with several options. Finally, the Klevv Urbane DDR3 memory definitely gets my recommendation for performing very well and at the same time looking really good. Not only that, amongst the Genuine, Urbane and Neo, I would definitely go with this one.
