MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Duke 8G OC – Star Wars Battlefront II Benchmarks

Second to the last, I tested the MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Duke 8G OC with Star Wars Battlefront II. This game is visually pleasing but it’s not that hard to drive compared to the other games I tested. Below are the results I got:

As you can see, this game is quite easy to drive and the RTX 2080 has no problems driving this game even at 4K UHD. Notice that the MSI RTX 2080 Duke is also faster compared to the Founders Edition, and the gap widens between the RTX 2080 and GTX 1080 Ti at 4K UHD resolution. Let’s check out the last but definitely not the least game in our tests.

A PC enthusiast and a gamer, and my eyes eat frames for breakfast, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  1. Have you heard any reports of “noise” coming from these cards? And I don’t mean just when they are under load from gaming; I mean noise while idle. There is a somewhat loud, and definitely obnoxious noise from my Duke OC, and I have no idea what would be causing it; I do know that my PC was not noisy to any extent before I got this card. The only time there would be noise would be if I ramp up the case fans’ speed using the adjuster dial on the case. But ever since I installed that Duke, from probably a week or so after I got it, it has been making this noise; I can’t describe it, either.

    • You won a 2080? That’s cool! Not sure what’s the current pricing due to the current (shortage/scalping) situation, but you can check local pricing for reference.
