MSI GeForce RTX 2080 DUKE 8G OC Review – Fast and Silent

MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Duke 8G OC – Battlefield 1 Benchmarks

As much as I would love to test the MSI RTX 2080 Duke with the latest Battlefield V, unfortunately that game isn’t available until November 20. So Battlefield 1 will have to do for now; and there’s no real-time ray tracing or DLSS happening in this benchmark. I tested the MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Duke 8G OC in Battlefield 1 at ultra-settings in three different resolutions: 1080p, 1440p and 2160p. Below are the results I got:

Looks like the MSI RTX 2080 Duke performs similarly with the RTX 2080 Founders Edition. Let’s check out more games and see if the results remains the same or not.

  1. Have you heard any reports of “noise” coming from these cards? And I don’t mean just when they are under load from gaming; I mean noise while idle. There is a somewhat loud, and definitely obnoxious noise from my Duke OC, and I have no idea what would be causing it; I do know that my PC was not noisy to any extent before I got this card. The only time there would be noise would be if I ramp up the case fans’ speed using the adjuster dial on the case. But ever since I installed that Duke, from probably a week or so after I got it, it has been making this noise; I can’t describe it, either.

    • You won a 2080? That’s cool! Not sure what’s the current pricing due to the current (shortage/scalping) situation, but you can check local pricing for reference.
