MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Duke 8G OC – Ghost Recon Wildlands Benchmarks

Ghost Recon Wildlands is another graphics intensive game, especially when set to ultra graphics settings. It’s like turning “RTX-ON”, except that there’s no real-time ray tracing. You’ll need at least a GeForce GTX 1080 to get an average of 60 fps on ultra settings at 1080p resolution. Let’s see how the MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Duke 8G OC performs on this game:

Oh boy, both the RTX 2080 Duke and Founders Edition performs just the same as the Zotac GTX 1080 Ti AMP. I can basically say that there’s no performance difference between these three graphics cards at all, in any resolution for this game title. 1 or 2 frames per second difference is pretty much negligible.

A PC enthusiast and a gamer, and my eyes eat frames for breakfast, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  1. Have you heard any reports of “noise” coming from these cards? And I don’t mean just when they are under load from gaming; I mean noise while idle. There is a somewhat loud, and definitely obnoxious noise from my Duke OC, and I have no idea what would be causing it; I do know that my PC was not noisy to any extent before I got this card. The only time there would be noise would be if I ramp up the case fans’ speed using the adjuster dial on the case. But ever since I installed that Duke, from probably a week or so after I got it, it has been making this noise; I can’t describe it, either.

    • You won a 2080? That’s cool! Not sure what’s the current pricing due to the current (shortage/scalping) situation, but you can check local pricing for reference.
