MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Duke 8G OC – Mass Effect Andromeda Benchmarks

Mass Effect Andromeda is a game where I see a huge variance in the game’s performance. The gap between the minimum frame rates to average, to high is just wide; definitely wider compared to other games I have tested. Below are the results I got with the MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Duke 8G OC in this game:

The MSI RTX 2080 Duke can drive this game smoothly, even at 4K UHD; however that’s also the case with the GTX 1080 Ti. The RTX 2080 is faster than the GTX 1080 Ti in this game, but by a very small margin. Let’s check out more games then.

A PC enthusiast and a gamer, and my eyes eat frames for breakfast, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  1. Have you heard any reports of “noise” coming from these cards? And I don’t mean just when they are under load from gaming; I mean noise while idle. There is a somewhat loud, and definitely obnoxious noise from my Duke OC, and I have no idea what would be causing it; I do know that my PC was not noisy to any extent before I got this card. The only time there would be noise would be if I ramp up the case fans’ speed using the adjuster dial on the case. But ever since I installed that Duke, from probably a week or so after I got it, it has been making this noise; I can’t describe it, either.

    • You won a 2080? That’s cool! Not sure what’s the current pricing due to the current (shortage/scalping) situation, but you can check local pricing for reference.
