NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Specs Leaked and GPU Die Pictured

After photos of MSI’s RTX 3080 Ti Ventus 3X graphics card shipping leaked out, more leaks regarding this GPU are expected to surface. Recently, a photo of the RTX 3080 Ti’s GPU die and some of its specifications, including its Ethereum mining hash rate were leaked out via Videocardz. Well, at this point the RTX 3080 Ti is “definitely” coming and it is very close. The big question is, can gamers even get one? Will there be enough stock? I highly doubt that! Anyway, below are some of the leaked details regarding the RTX 3080 Ti graphics card.

NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti GA102-225-GPU

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Specs Leaked

The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is powered by NVIDIA’s GA102-225 GPU. It has 10240 CUDA cores and is paired with 12GB GDDR6X memory running on 384-bit memory bandwidth. That’s 1536 more CUDA cores from the RTX 3080 and just 256 cores fewer than the RTX 3090. Those are the same numbers that were leaked earlier.

It is rumored to have a base clock speed of 1365MHz and a boost clock speed of 1665MHz. Of course, the actual boost clock speed of the RTX 3080 Ti could be higher, thanks to NVIDIA’s GPU boost technology. It is also reported to have a TGP of 320W, which is similar to the RTX 3080’s TGP.

Based on the specs alone and the position of the RTX 3080 Ti, we can deduce that it will be performing just below the RTX 3090 graphics card. The RTX 3080 Ti would be the “better” deal since it is rumored to be priced at around $999 USD. On paper, the RTX 3080 Ti would definitely be the better graphics card. But I expect that retailers wouldn’t sell this card at MSRP. Just look at the current prices of the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. There are currently selling way above their expected retail prices.

RTX 3080 Ti Etherium Mining Performance

At this point, it is unclear if NVIDIA will “enforce” ETH mining limiter to the RTX 3080 Ti; similar to what they did with the RTX 3060. Most probably they would. But according to the leaks, the RTX 3080 Ti offers around 118Mh/s – 119Mh/s of ETH mining performance. It also draws around 278W of power. The RTX 3080 Ti was running with tweaked settings, overclocked memory speed, and reduced power draw.

RTX 3080 Ti Price and Release Date

Again, according to rumors, the “retail price” is expected to be around ~$999 USD. But expect that it would be sold out instantly. Reports are saying that we should expect this card to be released by May 2021. More or less, retailers already have them, or at least they are on their way to retailers’ warehouses.
