NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Graphics Card Pictured and Pricing Leaked?

We have only a few more days until NVIDIA’s upcoming event this coming September. Although they didn’t specifically mention anything about the RTX 30 series, many are anticipating and expecting that NVIDIA will finally reveal their next-gen GeForce RTX 30 series graphics card based on the Ampere architecture. The #UltimateCountdown already started and we’ll finally see the whole picture. Speaking of pictures, an alleged photo of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card showed up on Twitter. The photo was uploaded by @GarnetSunset recently and it pretty much confirms the cooler design that was previously leaked. Check out the photo below.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 “Founders Edition” Pictured

Above you can see a photo of the alleged GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition featuring NVIDIA’s new cooler design. It is very similar to the first photo that was leaked back in June but with a few changes. As you can see, the said “RTX 3090” is much bigger or larger than the RTX 2080 Founders Edition, both in width and in length. You can also see that it will occupy three PCI slots instead of two. I suspect that this is going to be a heavy graphics card, and most of that weight is due to its large and beefy heat sink.

Here’s a photo of the “RTX 3090” from the backside, and yes, it sports two fans but with a twist. The first fan is on the front side while the other fan is at the rear-back side of the graphics card. It also looks like the fans are larger in diameter as well.

A lot of people in the social media is calling the RTX 3090 a “THICC boy” or “fat boy” graphics card, I wonder how would XFX react to that. But anyway, this isn’t the first big graphics card in the market. EVGA’s FTW3 graphics cards are really big, with three fans and occupy three PCI slots. So, I’m not surprised when it comes to its size. What I am more interested in is how the cooling design works in the RTX 30 series graphics, in addition to the performance of course.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 is said to be the company’s upcoming flagship graphics card. It is rumored to feature the GA102-300-A1 GPU chip, with 5248 CUDA cores and 82 Streaming Multiprocessors. Micron has also confirmed that the RTX 3090 will make use of the faster GDDR6X memory with 21Gb/s speed.

But how about the price?

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Rumored Pricing

Well, the leaker not only uploaded photos of the alleged RTX 3090 but also tweeted about the pricing. In his tweet, he mentioned that the RTX 3060 can go for $400 USD, RTX 3070 at $600, RTX 3080 at $800, and RTX 3090 at $1400. For comparison, the RTX 2060 Super Founders Edition is currently priced at $399, RTX 2070 Super at $499, RTX 2080 Super at $699, and RTX 2080 Ti FE at $1,199.

Remember, these are just rumors and perhaps estimations by the leaker. As usual, take this information with a grain of salt. So, what do you think of the new RTX 3090 graphics card or the RTX 30 series in general? Would you get one?
