Razer recently released the Razer Kishi – a universal gaming controller made for Android smartphones. It’s the latest mobile gaming accessory from the company that got two Best of CES awards last January. The Razer Kishi is compatible with most, unfortunately not all, Android devices in the market. Razer also plans to release an iPhone version later this summer. To learn more about the Kishi and where to get one, please continue reading below.

The Razer Kishi is like a compact version of the Razer Raiju, offering a similar button layout and functionality. I’m not sure if it is an improved or better version of the Razer Junglecat, because the Junglecat is a bit more expensive than the Kishi. Nevertheless, the Razer Kishi looks more appealing and ergonomic than the Junglecat.

The Razer Kishi offers increased precision and expanded controls; with clickable analog thumbsticks, multi-function buttons and 8-way D-pad. It also has two analog triggers and two bumper buttons for what Razer calls “triple-A console level gameplay of experience anywhere”. The setup and layout are very similar to that of an Xbox controller.

When it comes to compatibility, the Razer Kishi features a flexible design that supports a wide range of Android smartphones (see below). It also features a direct USB-C connection that virtually eliminates input lag, allowing users to enjoy ultra-low latency gameplay. A pass-through smartphone charging port is also available for extended play times of Android games or cloud game streaming.

Price and Where to Buy

The Razer Kishi universal game controller for Android is now available. It comes with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $79.99 USD or €89.99 only.
