First on my list is the PNY XLR8 240GB SSD (SSD9SC240GMDA-RB), it features transfer rates up to 500MB/s read and 475MB/s write. It uses SandFore 2281 controller and comes with 3 year warranty plus an additional 2 years when you register the product with PNY. It supports 128-bit AES encryption and is manufactured in the USA and designed for long term photo/video storage and home usage such as web browsing, emails, faster operating system and program launching.

Finally there’s the Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD. It doesn’t have a huge discounted as of the moment, but the current price is lower compared to its original price. Currently, the Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD is priced at $259.99 with free shipping . Meanwhile the 1TB variant is priced at $489.99. It is also available in 120GB, 250GB and 750GB capacities. Samsung’s SSD lineup, including the 840 Pro, is one of the best and fastest SSD currently on the market.
