ViewSonic Elite XG270QC Curved Gaming Monitor Features

1440p high refresh rate gaming monitors are steadily becoming popular nowadays. They offer a richer and smoother gaming experience compared to a typical 60Hz monitor. The ViewSonic Elite XG270QC isn’t the first curved gaming monitor in the market. In fact, you can check out some of the best curved gaming monitors here.

However, the XG270QC does have some (new) features that the older curved gaming monitors doesn’t. One of these is the AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology, which is better than the earlier version of FreeSync. With the said technology, you can play HDR supported games with this monitor, but the HDR capabilities of the XG270QC, like most gaming monitors, is only bare minimum – VESA DisplayHDR 400. You’ll want at least a DisplayHDR1000 certified monitor to fully enjoy and appreciate HDR content.

Like most 1440p monitors in the market, the Elite XG270QC is a 27-inch monitor with a native QHD resolution of 2560×1440. It features a 1500R curvature, which is typical for a curved gaming monitor. It also uses a VA panel, which is also common in curved gaming monitors. When connected using DisplayPort v1.4, it has a variable refresh rate of 48-165Hz; and can achieve 48-144Hz via HDMI 2.0.

The ViewSonic Elite XG270QC also features PureXP technology that reduced motion blur; and this monitor is rated to have a 3ms GtG response time, or 1ms MPRT. It also has a brightness of 550 cd/m2 and covers 90% DCI-P3 color coverage.

Blur Busters Approved ELITE XG270 Firmware Update
ViewSonic ELITE, in conjunction with Blur Busters, has updated its PureXP™ mode for improved motion blur reduction control. PureXP™ is a strobe backlight mode that provides the purest experience in display motion clarity. PureXP™ now provides four levels of optimized motion blur reduction. These new modes allow gamers to control the level of brightness and motion blur reduction based on individual gamer preference. With a 240 Hz refresh rate and fast 1ms IPS panel, the additional tuning by Blur Busters provides gamers with the most fluid and clear gaming experience possible. The new Blur Busters Approved firmware is automatically downloaded via the ViewSonic Elite Display Controller software.

ELITE Display Controller Software
The ViewSonic Elite XG270QC has a software that makes it easy to adjust monitor settings and control RGB lighting – the ELITE Display Controller. Gamers can customize and quickly change between display modes, choose from a wide selection of native RGB settings and sync their RGB lighting with ELITE RGB Alliance partnered software, like Razer Chroma and TT RGB Plus by Thermaltake.
