Best Adventure Games Releasing in 2020

Each year, there is a new crop of promising action-adventure games. The year 2020 is no different. There are a number of high-end triple-A games on the horizon. Many of these games are full of high-resolution graphics and killer sound. However, running the newest AAA titles doesn’t always require high-end gaming rigs. If you are on a budget but can’t live a day longer without experiencing Borderlands 3, we recommend taking a look at some great budget gaming PCs. These will allow you to play every upcoming title medium settings at the very least.

Upcoming Best Adventure Games in 2020

The following are some new titles that are being designed for upcoming generations of platforms. If you are an action-adventure game fan, this is one list you don’t want to miss.

No More Heroes 3

No More Heroes 3

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes will find its way on shelves on January 18, 2024, for the Nintendo Switch. This is an action-adventure hack and slash game. In this game, a new group of aliens has invaded and occupied the artificial metropolis.

Travis needs to step in and save the day. More than 10 years have passed since No More Heroes 2 was released. It is hoped that this Grasshopper Manufacturer game published by Marvelous will attract new players to the franchise.

Marvels Avengers

Marvel's Avengers

This game is slated to be released on May 15, 2020. It is developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal. It will be available on PS for, Xbox online, Stadia, and PC.

Crystal Dynamics gave viewers the first glimpse of this game at E3 2019. As expected, players will be controlling the Avengers as they battle to protect humanity from extreme peril. The game starts on A–Day in San Francisco. It’s a holiday celebrating the Avengers. In this version, the team is comprised of Black Widow, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, and Captain America. The celebration is interrupted by the villain Taskmaster and his goons.

Early reviews on this game are positive. Each character has their own story arc within the overreaching story. Each player has unique gameplay, which creates an enjoyable adventure gaming experience.

Tales of Arise

Tales of Arise
This game is published and developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is set for release in 2020 and will be available than Xbox One, PS4, and PC. While there are still a number of questions about the game, like whether it will have a competitive multiplayer or a quiet mode, what is known about the game is making game lovers everywhere excited.

The story is set to follow the activities of two characters from different worlds, Dahna and Rena. One character is from a time when technology is readily abundant and the other from a medieval era. People from the world of advanced technology are able to enslave those from the medieval-like world. This is a story-driven RPG where the characters are looking to change their fate and create a new future. The game will boast stunning anime-style graphics and a piercing soundtrack.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

Beyond Good and Evil 2
Developed and published by Ubisoft, there is no date set for the release of this action-adventure game. This game will be the sequel to the successful title that found its way to market in 2003. For fans of Beyond Good & Evil looking forward to a sequel, they may be disappointed to learn that instead of completing the story, part two of this game will actually be a prequel.

In a unique twist, it was announced that some of the fans of this game will be able to contribute to the content in the sequel. Voice over recordings, artwork, scripts, and other submissions from fans of the game will be included as part of the game. Those selected to contribute will be paid for their work. The player is a pirate in the game, and so the gameplay goes between the actual movement of the character and the navigation of the ships.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 offers a sandbox online experience. Players will be able to create a custom character that starts on the lowest rung of the social-economic ladder and work their way up to being captain of a ship. You will be able to interact with friends or explore the stars on your own. The development of this game has lasted for more than a decade, and its release has fans of action-adventure games excited.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Sequel
This game is developed and published by Nintendo. At E3 2019 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo surprised everyone by announcing the release of the sequel to their wildly popular game. There is not a lot of information available about this game yet with the exception of the trailer that Nintendo released at E3. In the trailer, you see Zelda and Link exploring underground chambers. They are surrounded by mysterious ruins and sporting new hairdos that have become the talk of the internet.

The trailer is just 82 seconds long, and it has no dialogue. But from looking at the trailer you are able to gather a bit of information. As one would expect, Link and Zelda are traversing the dark dungeon between Hyrule. We cut to some glowing tendrils and from there we see the couple riding a large elephant-like animal. Something shocks the couple, and this leads to the resurrection of a creepy-looking warrior that was long dead. From there we see a scene of Hyrule Field and the castle in the distance. There’s an earthquake, and the castle is covered in dust and the scene fades to black.

While it is rumored that the game will be released in 2020. Some feel that because of where the game is in the stage of development, it is more likely that the game will be released in 2021. Here’s keeping our fingers crossed.

So what do you think? Do any of these games get your attention? What 2020 action game releases are you most excited for? Let us know in the comments section below.
