Crucial recently released an updated version of its Gen5 SSD; meet the new Crucial T705 Gen5 NVMe SSD. Its predecessor, the T700 we reviewed, offers up to 12,400MB/s and 11,800MB/s sequential read and write speeds, respectively. The new T705 offers up to 14,500MB/s and 12,700MB/s in sequential read and write speeds, respectively. Crucial Pro Series Supercharges Portfolio with DDR5 Overclocking Memory and World’s Fastest Gen5 SSD
Micron Technology, Inc. has introduced two new products to its Crucial Pro Series: overclocking-ready memory and the world’s fastest Gen5 SSD.
Micron has released Crucial DDR5 Pro Memory Overclocking Edition modules, offering 16GB capacities with speeds up to 6,000MT/s. These modules aim to enhance performance, reduce latencies, and increase bandwidth, supporting smoother gaming and minimizing performance slowdowns. Compatible with the newest DDR5 Intel and AMD CPUs, they also support Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO specifications, ensuring easy compatibility.
The Crucial T705 SSD, featuring advanced Micron® 232-layer TLC NAND technology, maximizes Gen5 performance capabilities. It offers rapid sequential read and write speeds of up to 14,500MB/s and 12,700MB/s and random read and write IOPS of up to 1,550K and 1,800K, enhancing gaming, video editing, 3D rendering, and AI workload processing. Combined with DDR5 Pro Overclocking DRAM, this SSD meets the demands of enthusiasts, gamers, and professionals for high-speed, high-bandwidth PC builds that can efficiently handle, process, and store AI-generated content.

Crucial has optimized all XMP 3.0 and EXPO memory profiles to ensure they work well with CPUs while maintaining stable overclocking performance. Using one of these pre-set profiles is the simplest method to overclock both the CPU and memory for peak performance.
Availability and Release Date
The Crucial T705 SSDs, including a special 2TB version with a white heatsink, are open for pre-orders and will be available on March 12, 2024, from select online and physical stores worldwide. These SSDs come with a 5-year warranty.
Meanwhile, the Crucial DDR5 Pro Overclocking DRAM will come in 16GB sizes starting February 27, 2024, and 24GB sizes later in the year. These memory modules come with a limited lifetime warranty.
