Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED (2024) with Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU Now Available, World’s Slimmest 13.3″ OLED Laptop

Recently, the “world’s slimmest 13.3-inch OLED laptop” now features Intel’s latest Core Ultra 7 processor—the (2024) Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED laptop. Last year’s Zenbook S 13 OLED featured a 13th-gen Intel EVO CPU with Iris Xe iGPU. This year’s model features the Core Ultra 7 155U processor and Intel Arc iGPU. The Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED stands out as the thinnest 13.3-inch OLED laptop, designed with sustainability in mind. It boasts a slim profile of just 1 cm and a lightweight build of 1 kg, achieved through innovative design and materials, all while maintaining strong performance, connectivity, and battery life.

We’ve made the laptop’s lid 30% thinner by integrating a slimmer FHD IR camera into the CNC-machined lid and using an ultra-slim OLED panel. The internal design is optimized through precision CNC machining, using circuit boards with higher wiring density and more transistors, leading to a lighter, more compact design with better performance. We’ve also included an ultra-thin fan on the precisely engineered motherboard for improved cooling, making the laptop’s lower part about 25% slimmer. For materials, we chose a durable yet lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy for the keyboard deck and thin glass for the touchpad, reducing the keyboard deck’s thickness by another 25%.

The Zenbook S 13 OLED offers a high-quality viewing experience with its 16:10 ASUS Lumina OLED screen, featuring 3K resolution, quick 0.2ms response time, and top-notch Delta E <1 color accuracy. It boasts vibrant colors with Dolby Vision, deep blacks with DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, true-to-life colors with Pantone validation, and a wide color range with 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The ASUS Splendid feature makes it easy to switch between different color spaces like sRGB, Display-P3, or the native OLED gamut. The display meets TÜV Rheinland and SGS eye care standards for eye comfort, reducing blue light by 70%. Additionally, ASUS offers a free OLED screen replacement if burn-in occurs within the warranty period.

Performance on the go

The Zenbook S 13 OLED is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with Intel Arc Graphics and AI features, making it efficient for work, gaming, and creative tasks while offering long battery life. It comes with 1 TB SSD storage, up to 32 GB of fast LPDDR5x RAM, and WiFi 6E, ensuring quick and efficient performance everywhere.

Even with its slim design, the Zenbook S 13 OLED includes various ports, like two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The laptop enhances video calls with its FHD IR camera, which supports AI-driven visual effects and noise cancellation and allows for secure face login with Windows Hello. It also features a Harman Kardon-certified audio system with Dolby Atmos sound and ASUS Audio Booster technology.

The laptop’s ErgoSense touchpad is 9.5% larger than previous models, offering smooth navigation and an anti-fingerprint coating for easy maintenance.

All-round sustainability

ASUS focuses on improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact, as this eco-friendly Zenbook shows. The laptop uses post-industrial recycled magnesium-aluminum alloy for its keyboard cover, chassis, and lid. The keycaps and speakers are made from post-consumer-recycled plastics, with the speakers also utilizing ocean-bound plastics. The packaging is fully recyclable, made from 100% FSC Mix-certified paper, and the paper inserts inside can be repurposed into laptop stands.

The Zenbook S 13 OLED uses 60% less energy than the ENERGY STAR® standard, reducing electricity use. We’ve developed a unique method to create a plasma ceramic aluminum material for the lid, improving its durability, corrosion resistance, heat management, hardness, and longevity using just water and electricity, avoiding harmful chemicals and metals for minimal environmental harm.

To further reduce waste over time, the Zenbook 13 S OLED undergoes rigorous testing to meet the latest MIL-STD-810H US military-grade durability standards, ensuring a longer lifespan.
