The LG Ultragear 32GS95UE 4K OLED Can Do 4K 240Hz or 1080p 480Hz, First Dual-Hz Gaming Monitor

We saw many OLED gaming monitors released this year, and most (if not all) were 1440p 240Hz OLED gaming monitors, like the AOC AGON PRO AG276QZD. If 2023 was the year of 1440p 240Hz OLED gaming monitors, then 2024 will be the year of 4K 240Hz OLED gaming monitors. LG Electronics recently revealed its upcoming 4K OLED gaming monitor, the Ultragear 32GS95UE. And it’s not just the usual 4K 240Hz gaming monitor; it’s the world’s first Dual-Hz OLED gaming monitor. Users can choose between 4K 240Hz or 1080p 480Hz mode. 480Hz refresh rate is really fast, but the Ultragear 32GS95UE is a 32-inch monitor. I don’t expect crisp images if set to run in 1080p mode. Aside from the 4K OLED monitor, LG also unveiled several 1440p OLED ultrawide gaming monitors. More details, including specs, are below.

LG ElectronicsLG UltraGear Unveils World’s First 4K OLED Gaming Monitor With Dual-Hz Feature

LG Electronics is introducing its latest UltraGear™ OLED gaming monitor lineup for enhanced gaming experiences. The lineup includes a much-anticipated 32-inch 4K gaming monitor (model 32GS95UE) with a 240Hz refresh rate, an ultra-fast 0.03ms Gray-to-Gray (GtG) response time, and LG’s Dual-Hz feature and Pixel Sound technology. Additionally, LG is introducing 39- and 34-inch models with ultra-wide curved screens: the 39GS95QE and the CES 2024 Innovation Award-winning 34GS95QE.

The First Dual-Hz Gaming Monitor to Offer 4K 240Hz / FHD 480Hz

The 32GS95UE, a groundbreaking UltraGear monitor, introduces the innovative Dual-Hz feature, enabling users to seamlessly switch between 4K (3,840 x 2,160) at 240Hz and Full-HD (1,920 x 1,080) at 480Hz with a simple click. Easily managed via a hotkey or joystick’s directional switch, this feature allows users to apply the optimal screen resolution and refresh rate for different game genres. FHD 480Hz can be selected for action-packed games, while visually rich story-driven games can be enjoyed in 4K 240Hz.

Alongside the Dual-Hz feature, the 32-inch UltraGear OLED boasts an impressive 0.03ms (GtG) response time, eliminating motion blur and enhancing clarity for dynamic gameplay. The monitor delivers exceptional color and contrast, leveraging LG’s self-lit OLED technology, elevating the visual experience.

Enhancing user experience further, the 32GS95UE features minimal screen bezels, providing a distraction-free display. The 4-side, virtually borderless design ensures a stunning view of on-screen action. The monitor also offers an immersive three-dimensional soundscape with Pixel Sound technology and an integrated front-facing sound system featuring two woofers and DTS Virtual:X support. The speakers are discreetly placed behind the OLED panel, eliminating the need for external speakers and saving desk space.

Elevating Gaming Immersion Through Innovative Design

The LG Ultragear 34GS95QE and its larger counterpart, the 39GS95QE, honored with the CES 2024 Innovation Award, enhance the gaming experience with their 800R-curved, 21:9 aspect ratio UltraWide Quad-HD (3,440 x 1,440) resolution OLED displays. These panoramic monitors, featuring LG’s Anti-Glare & Low Reflection Coating, a 4-side borderless design, 240Hz refresh rate, and 0.03ms (GtG) response time, offer immersive visuals and elevated user engagement. The 800R curvature, combined with LG’s OLED display technology, introduces a new dimension to gaming and content viewing.

The latest LG UltraGear OLED gaming monitors showcase the Unity Hexagonal design rear cover, seamlessly blending aesthetics with efficient cable management. The slim ‘L’ Stand, introduced this year, provides ergonomic benefits, stability, and space-efficiency. Along with tilt-, height-, pivot-, and swivel-adjustability, the stand has a smaller footprint than the previous V-shaped stand, optimizing desk space and usability. This stylish and functional stand contributes to the monitors’ futuristic aesthetic.

More Models to Meet Gamers’ Diverse Demands

In addition to the new 32-inch model and the 34- and 39-inch curved monitors, LG’s 2024 UltraGear OLED gaming monitor lineup introduces two 45-inch monitors and a 27-inch monitor (models 45GS95QE, 45GS96QB, and 27GS95QE). These upgraded versions of the well-received 45GR95QE and 27GR95QE further expand the UltraGear family, offering the exceptional gaming experience associated with LG’s premium gaming monitors. With high refresh rates, quick response times, and excellent picture quality, these monitors meet the expectations of discerning consumers. Moreover, all three models are VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 400 certified, featuring high-brightness screens that deliver deep blacks and enhance depth and detail in darker gaming environments.

The 45-inch 45GS96QB provides an immersive gaming experience with its UltraWide QHD resolution curved (800R) OLED display and built-in speakers, delivering realistic visuals and sound. On the other hand, the 27GS95QE is a great choice for smaller spaces, offering a 27-inch flat screen OLED display with all the specifications and features needed for advanced gaming.
