Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus NVMe Gen4 SSD 8TB Capacity Now Available

Share this:

Are you looking for a fast M.2 NVMe SSD with a capacity like that of a hard disk drive? Sabrent’s Rocket 4 Plus Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD is now available in 8TB capacity. Users can now choose from 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and 8TB capacities. Although, I wouldn’t recommend the 500GB since it tends to perform slower compared to higher capacity SSDs. We have reviewed the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus before and it is one of the best and fastest Gen4 SSD in the market, offering speeds of up to 7,1000MB/s sequential speed. Not to mention, Sabrent’s SSDs are price competitive as well. You can grab an 8TB capacity from Amazon.com here, model SB-RKT4P-8TB. More details from the news release below.

SABRENT Rocket 4 Plus NVMe PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD 8TB Capacity Now On Sale

The SABRENT 8TB Rocket 4 PLUS NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 Internal SSD Extreme Performance Solid State Drive (SB-RKT4P-8TB) delivers all the advantages of flash disk technology with PCIe Gen4.0 x4 interface.

Based on TLC NAND Flash memory, its performance speeds can reach up to 7,100 MB/s (read) and 6,600 MB/s (write) when using a PCIe Gen4 motherboard. Using a PCIe Gen3 motherboard, speeds will reach up to 3,400 MB/s (read) and 3,000 MB/s (write). Power consumption is much lower than traditional hard drives, making it the best-embedded solution for new systems.

The SABRENT 8TB Rocket 4 Plus Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 Internal SSD was designed using PCIe 4.0 which allows for sequential speeds of up to 7,100 MB/s (read) and 6,600 MB/s (write), significantly faster than PCIe 3.0.

Note: To take advantage of these speeds, a PCIe Gen4 motherboard is REQUIRED. Otherwise, it will be running at PCIe Gen3 speed at a max of 3,500MB/s. When installing any NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD directly onto a PCIe Gen4 motherboard a heatsink is required to dissipate the heat generated by the drive’s extreme speed levels to avoid thermal throttling and maximize performance.

The SABRENT 8TB Rocket 4 Plus SSD is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0. Using a Gen 3 PCIe motherboard will enable the user to reach sequential speeds of up to 3,400 MB/s (read) and 3,000 MB/s (write).
