Deal: Samsung Odyssey G93SC OLED 1440p 240Hz Gaming Monitor Discounted Ahead of Black Friday

Thanks to Amazon’s deal, several of Samsung’s products are currently discounted at the head of the Black Friday event. For example, Samsung’s fastest Gen4 SSD, the 990 Pro 4TB capacity, has hit its lowest price (yet). One of its OLED gaming monitors, the Odyssey G93SC, is currently 31% off its retail price. The Odyssey G93SC is a 49-inch dual QHD 1440p 240Hz OLED curved gaming monitor featuring an ultra-fast sub-millisecond response time of 0.03ms GtG, a DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, and FreeSync Premium Pro. Check out the deal on Amazon here. It’s a limited-time deal, so I expect it will end soon.

Samsung Odyssey G93SC OLED Monitor

Samsun Odyssey G9 OLED Curved Gaming Monitor Features

The Odyssey OLED G9 is a 49-inch monitor with an 1800R curvature, making it the first OLED monitor to offer Dual Quad High Definition (DQHD; 5,120 x 1,440) resolution with a 32:9 ratio. The large screen provides a super-ultrawide experience, equivalent to having two QHD screens side by side. Its rapid 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time and 240Hz refresh rate offer gamers a competitive edge.

The Odyssey G9 also features AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which ensures super smooth gameplay, enhancing the gaming experience further. With DisplayHDR™ True Black 400, the monitor provides incredible details and vivid colors, regardless of the game or content.

Designed with a slim profile and housed in a sleek metal frame, the Odyssey OLED G9 includes CoreSync and Core Lighting+ on the back. These features use advanced lighting technology to match on-screen colors, creating a more immersive and lifelike gaming experience. Additionally, the built-in stereo speakers provide crisp sound that complements on-screen content. Although, a dedicated stereo speaker is still far better than a built-in one.

Samsung Odyssey G95SC vs G93SC OLED – What’s the Difference?

Samsung’s Odyssey G9 has two variants: the G95SC or LS49CG954SNXZA and the G93SC or LS49CG932SNXZA. The one currently being discounted and the cheapest of the two models is the G93SC.

The more expensive G95SC features a Neo Quantum Processor Pro. Samsung uses a deep learning algorithm to analyze images intelligently, automatically adjusting brightness and amplifying contrast. This ensures detailed and brilliant pixel-by-pixel image delivery. It also features GamingHub, Smart TV apps, IoT Hub, remote control, etc. Basically, the G95SC is like a Smart TV, but it lacks a picture-by-picture function.

On the other hand, the G93SC doesn’t have the Neo Quantum Processor Pro and lacks the “smart” features found on the G95SC, including the remote control. In short, the G93SC is like your typical gaming monitor. Also, while the G95SC doesn’t have PBP, the G93SC supports PBP.

In terms of picture quality, OLED panel, refresh rate, response time, and input and output ports, everything is similar on both curved gaming monitors. So, between the two, the G93SC is the better choice if you don’t need those extra features, especially if it is significantly discounted today.
