AMD recently released its Ryzen 5000 G-series desktop processors quietly. But will it not be available for the DIY market, not yet. It will be released to OEMs first or in pre-guilt (gaming) systems; then we can expect to see it at retailers later this year. The Ryzen 5000G APUs are lead by the Ryzen 7 5700G, an 8-core 16-thread APU with 8 cores Vega integrated graphics. AMD claims that it’s substantially faster compared to Intel’s 10th gen Core i7 non-K SKUs. Check out more details below.
AMD Ryzen 5000G Desktop CPUs with Radeon Graphics Released
The AMD Ryzen 7 5700G leads the Cezanne APUs with its 8 cores and 16 threads, and 8 Vega graphics. It has a clock speed of 3.8GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.6GHz. Its iGPU is clocked at 2.0GHz and has a TDP of 65W. And yes, this is a Zen 3 APU, just like the Ryzen 5000 processors (but with built-in graphics).
AMD compares the Ryzen 7 5700G against Intel’s 10th Gen Core i7-10700 CPU. And according to their internal testing, the 5700G is around 38% faster in content creation; around 35% faster in productivity; around 80% faster in compute performance; and around 2.17x faster gaming performance thanks to its built-in Radeon graphics.
Meanwhile, AMD compared the Ryzen 5 500G and Ryzen 3 5300G against Intel’s Core i5-10600 and Core i3-10300 processors respectively. Again the results are favorable to AMD’s. But note that, AMD is comparing it against Intel’s 10th gen Comet Lake CPUs, and not the latest 11th gen Rocket Lake CPUs. So, it would be interesting to see how these Ryzen 5000G APU fare with Intel’s latest. Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing any independent reviews for a while.
Below are the rest of the specifications of the Ryzen 5000 G series processors.

Pricing and Availability
Again, according to AMD, the AMD Ryzen 5000 G-Series will initially be available in pre-built systems. And they look forward to bringing it to the channel for DIY customers later this year.
