One of the fastest M.2 SSDs in the market, the Samsung 990 Pro is now available in 4TB capacity. Powered by Samsung’s Pascal controller, paired with (also) Samsung’s 176-layer V-NAND TLC flash memory, the 990 Pro 4TB capacity offers a sequential read speed of up to 7,450MB/s and sequential write speed of up to 6,900MB/s. Despite being a 4TB capacity, the 990 Pro is only a single-sided SSD, meaning all of the components or chips are only on one side (top). The 4TB capacity models of the 990 PRO and 990 PRO with Heatsink will be available starting in early October 2023. It comes with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $344.99 for the non-heatsink variant and $354.99 for the heatsink variant.
