ASUS Zenbook DUO, the World’s First 14″ Dual-Screen OLED Laptop Now Available

First revealed early this year, ASUS‘s new flagship addition to the premium Zenbook line, the 2024 Zenbook Duo UX8406, is now available. The Zenbook Duo features a dual OLED display that can be used in various modes. It is also powered by Intel’s Core Ultra mobile CPU, up to Core Ultra 9 185H. While it doesn’t have a discreet GPU, the Zenbook DUO features Intel Arc graphics and some of the latest connectivity options, like WiFi 6e. ASUS introduced the ASUS Zenbook DUO (2024) UX8406, a groundbreaking ultraportable laptop featuring dual 14-inch 3K 120 Hz OLED touchscreens. The device offers a flexible workspace for seamless multitasking, accompanied by a detachable full-size Bluetooth® ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad. It includes the ASUS Pen 2.0 and comes with the ASUS Vigour Backpack.

Revolutionary design

The Zenbook DUO stands out as the first laptop with dual 14-inch 3K 120 Hz OLED touchscreens, along with a detachable magnetic keyboard and kickstand, all packed into a compact and user-friendly design. It prioritizes on-the-go versatility and weighs only 3.64 lbs, offering a seamless blend of multitasking capabilities and mobility with Intel® Evo™ certification.

The ASUS Lumina OLED displays are Dolby Vision® certified and Pantone® Validated and feature a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut for accurate and vivid color representation. They also hold VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 certification, ensuring deep black levels. The touchscreens support high-precision stylus input with the included 4096 pressure-level ASUS Pen 2.0. Additionally, the built-in ScreenXpert software enables smartphone-like multitouch gestures for intuitive operations, allowing users to perform tasks such as launching a virtual keyboard or maximizing a window with simple multi-finger gestures.

The detachable keyboard of Zenbook DUO fits between its dual screens for practicality during transport. This design improves portability and convenience, enabling users to easily charge the keyboard without additional settings. The pogo-pin connectors on the lower screen’s edge facilitate hassle-free docking, aided by auto-positioning magnets on the pogo pins and corners of the second screen, enhancing the overall user experience.

Its lay-flat 180° display hinge and built-in kickstand offer versatile user modes and angles. The intuitive ScreenXpert software makes it easy to control display contents in all modes.

• Dual Screen Mode: When paired with the wireless keyboard, this mode offers 19.8 inches of screen space. Users can use it as a single expansive screen using the ViewMax feature. Alternatively, the twin 16:10 displays can function independently. The App Switcher feature allows easy window management, providing fingertip control over app windows, minimizing interruptions, and helping users stay focused on their tasks.
• Desktop Mode: The laptop can be set up with a vertical hinge alignment, providing side-by-side portrait screens. Paired with the wireless keyboard, it’s ideal for programmers, researchers, writers, and those working with large data sheets. Users can have productivity apps on one screen and reference materials, documentation, or research sources on the other. Alternatively, using the ViewMax feature, they can display content across the entire 19.8-inch width for a spacious viewing experience.
