Logitech recently released a portable, compact 4K camera built for live streaming and content creation – meet the Logitech Mevo Core. What’s interesting about this camera is that it features an interchangeable lens, unlike other action cameras or portable cameras with a fixed built-in lens. It supports a Micro Four Third lens mount, and there are plenty of Micro Four Third lenses in the market. Inside is a 4/3 CMOS sensor with an 8.3-megapixel resolution. It can record up to 4K 30fps and supports wireless connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1. Logitech’s Mevo Core 4K camera is now available, and you can check more details, including pricing and availability, from Logitech below.
Logitech Mevo Core 4K Camera: Easy Wireless Live Streaming Anytime, Anywhere
Logitech launched the Mevo Core, a new 4K camera designed for easy live streaming and content creation within the Mevo lineup. You can control it entirely from your smartphone or tablet. Its small size and sleek look make it easy to place anywhere, and you can change its lens to get great quality for every stream.
Setting up a professional camera system can be complex and expensive, involving extra software, encoders, and many cables. This can be overwhelming for new streamers aiming for high-quality broadcasts. The Mevo Core offers a solution by providing a 4K camera that easily integrates with the Mevo Multicam App, turning your mobile device into a production studio. This app, free on the Apple App Store and Google Play, allows content creators to link and manage multiple Mevo Core cameras simultaneously, simplifying the streaming process.
The Mevo Core comes with a strong 6-hour battery life and built-in Wi-Fi 6E, allowing you to connect and position multiple cameras as needed. It features a Micro Four Thirds sensor for capturing high-quality 4K30p videos and streaming in 1080p30 HD. The camera’s compatibility with Micro Four Thirds lenses gives creators the flexibility to pick the best lens for their needs, making it easy to focus with a tap and start streaming.
Users can choose their lens and tweak important settings like aperture and focus. It has three microphones that use spatial audio processing and noise cancellation to reduce background noise. Plus, you can stream directly to platforms like YouTube or Twitch using the Mevo Multicam feature.
Creators can enhance their setups with the Mevo Core’s HDMI output, NDI, and SRT features for better video connections. The camera also works as a wireless or wired HD webcam for both Mac and Windows computers. These features expand the camera’s versatility and improve the production process.
According to Otto Cedeno, head of Mevo:
“We are on a journey to democratize live content creation for everyone at any skill level. Mevo Core embodies this value by bringing beautiful 4K DSLR level quality but with a fraction of the complexity of a traditional camera,”. “Every single aspect, from adjusting the optical zoom, to setting the right focus are simple taps, making it an incredibly accessible pro-level camera, even for beginners.”
