NordVPN Now Has Access To 111 Countries and More Than 6,200 Servers Thanks To Virtual Servers

NordVPN, a leading VPN provider and cybersecurity company, recently announced that it now allows access to more than half of the world’s countries. Specifically, it now has more than 6,200 servers and access to 111 countries, making NordVPN the broadest geographic coverage of locations among all VPN providers. NordVPN Now Has More Coverage Thanks To Virtual Servers

NordVPN has expanded its server locations by adding virtual servers that meet top cybersecurity and privacy standards, in addition to its existing physical servers.

“The main reason we considered using virtual servers was to provide users access to locations where the possibility of establishing high-quality physical servers is scarce, usually because of a limited physical server infrastructure. In this situation, virtual servers come as an optimal solution, providing speeds and connection quality equal to that of a physical server,”.

NordVPN Physical Servers vs. Virtual Servers

Virtual servers work by using physical servers located in one country to mimic IP addresses from another country. This setup lets users access networks of a different country without needing a server physically there. For instance, NordVPN launched a virtual server for India in January 2024, using a physical server based in Singapore.

NordVPN selected new global locations for virtual VPN servers based on growing customer needs, marking a significant shift from using only physical servers before. In addition, NordVPN now supports up to 10 devices on one account, responding to customers’ daily device usage, enhancing their privacy further.
