Sony to Acquire Audeze – Sony x Audeze Planar Magnetic Gaming Headphones Coming Soon?

A couple of days ago, Sony, specifically Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced that it would acquire Auedeze. I’m sure all of you already know who Sony is. But some of you may have yet to hear of Audeze. Audeze is known for its planar magnetic headphones, like their popular LCD series. We have reviewed some of their audiophile headphones, like the LCD 5, which sounded exceptional, unlike any other headphones. They also released several gaming headphones these past few years; the latest is the Maxwell. If I am not mistaken, Sony doesn’t have planar magnetic headphones. They have the MDR series audiophile headphones and mainstream headphones like the WH-1000XM5. I expect that with this acquisition, we will see better (gaming) headphones by Audeze. You can read more about the acquisition from the official news release below.
