Why is it important to get the best gaming chair? Why not cheap gaming chairs?
Before I show you my top 10 pick best gaming chairs, let me just answer the question above. Premium gaming chairs offers the comfort, reliability, durability and satisfaction that you can’t get from a budget or cheap gaming chair. These chairs use steel or metal frames, class 4 gas lift, premium materials and high density foam or cold molded foam.
Some of these best gaming chairs uses better quality PU leather, others use real top grain full leather, and some even BMW leather. The quality of the leather is important, because if the gaming chair is made out of cheap or inferior type of synthetic leather, it is very prone to wear and tear. Sweat, humidity and the constant rubbing of your skin or pants could easily damage the surface.
Aside from the quality, it’s comfort, comfort and comfort. I spend most of my time in front of my computer. Several hours a day; I work and play, work and work and sometimes play. It’s important that I use a comfortable chair with lumbar and neck support. Otherwise, I would experience back pains (lower back), stiff shoulders and neck; and they do affect my productivity. I’m sure most of you who also spend several hours in front of a computer, typing or gaming, also experienced this.
Things to check before buying a gaming chair
There a couple of things you need to check before buying a particular gaming chair, aside from your budget. You need to check your height and weight. This is important because some gaming chairs are built for regular sized people, some are quite small (thin on foam), while others are designed for taller and bigger body built. If you bought the wrong size, no matter how good or premium the materials are, it may not be comfortable for you.
Below are my top 10 best gaming chairs; let’s start with the editor’s choice:
noblechairs ICON Gaming Chair
I have to admit, the noblechairs ICON looks a bit different compared to the other gaming chairs here. It looks more elegant and minimalist rather than sporty or aggressive. The company is using a deform-resistant cold foam upholstery making it more resilient to wear without sacrificing comfort. It’s available in PU leather, Napa leather and even real leather. noblechairs didn’t specify a recommended height or their ICON gaming chair, but it’s ideal for weight below 150kg or less than 330 lbs.

noblechairs Hero Gaming Chair
Next is the noblechairs Hero gaming chair, this one was designed in collaboration with eSports professionals. Thus the design is somewhat similar to the other gaming chairs in this list. The noblechairs Hero is not only great for gaming, but for office use as well. It has an integrated adjustable lumbar support that is fully customizable. This gaming chair is also intended for bigger users with its taller backrest, wider seat base and armrests. It’s available in PU leather and real leather only; and can support up to 150kg / 330 lbs.

noblechairs Epic Gaming Chair
Up next is the noblechair Epic gaming chair – “the ultimate throne for the discerning individual”. The Epic gaming chair’s design is a little bit aggressive, similar to a sports car chair. It features an ergonomic form that curves and protects the natural shape of the back. If that’s not enough, noblechairs also included a complimentary head and lumbar pillows. Like the ICON and HERO, it uses cold foam upholstery. Among the three noblechairs, this one is the more aggressive looking. And just like the ICON, it’s available in PU, Napa and real leather; and supports up to 150kg / 330 lbs.

Secretlab Omega Gaming Chair
The Secretlab Omega, just like noblechairs’ gaming chairs, simply screams premium; with high quality Secretlab cold cure foam and a selection between Secretlab’s Prime PU leather, SoftWeave fabric or napa leather. The Omega is built for individuals who are between 5’3″ to 5’9″ tall and weighs between 110lbs to 175 bls. It also features steel frame with class 4 gas lift and as you can see from the photos, the gaming chair is well-made with attention to details. There are no integrated lumbar and neck support, but it comes with head and lumbar pillow made of memory foam.

Secretlab Titan Gaming Chair
If you like Secretlab’s gaming chair, but you find the Omega to be a bit small for your size, then get the Titan instead. The Secretlab Titan is for individuals between 5’7″ to 6’4″ in height and weighs more than 155lbs, with a maximum capacity of 290 lbs. It’s also built with all the great features found on the Omega. The main difference are: it’s basically a bit larger, has thicker seat/base padding and (almost forgot) it has an integrated adjustable lumbar support. It also comes with a head pillow for head/neck support. The 5 gaming chairs I mentioned to this point are simply the best there is, you simply can’t go wrong, unless you choose the wrong chair size.

AKRacing Masters Series Premium Gaming Chair
AKRacing has many gaming chairs to choose from, but I find that their Master Series Premium gaming chair is the best, followed by the Office Series Onyx. The AKRacing Premium gaming chair uses cold cure foam with a stain-resistant PU leather for the upholstery. The frame is also made of steel and their chairs can be reclined up to 180 deg. AKRacing didn’t specify any recommended height and weight, but the Premium Masters Series has a maximum capacity of 330 lbs. AKRacing also offers 5 to 10 years of warranty, way longer compared to the other brands listed here.

AKRacing Office Series Onyx Gaming Chair
While the AKRacing Masters Series Premium gaming chair has a sporty-feel to it, the Office Series Onyx has a more “office-feel” to it. I think the Onyx Office chair is made to be more comfortable with its noticeably more cold-cured foam than AKRacing essential chairs. The included pillow set is also a bit larger compared to what you get with the Masters Series Premium. Not only that, you can choose from PU leather or real leather. Well, it doesn’t look as eye catching compared to the Masters Series Premium, but this one is definitely made for the boss.

Vertagear S-Line SL5000 Gaming Chair
The Vertagear S-Line SL5000 features a racing-style design “that provides gamers with the best comfort and ergonomic support in every position for extended periods of time”. The SL5000 is ideal for individuals up to 6’4″ in height and can support up to 260 lbs. Interestingly, the chair reclines starting 80° up to 140° and features adjustable tilt with locking mechanism. The SL5000 uses high density foam and PVC leather for the upholstery.

Anda Seat Kaiser Series Premium Gaming Chair
Then there’s the Anda Seat Kaiser Premium gaming chair, with its large memory foam neck pillow and lumbar support. The pillow support is what really caught my attention. Anda Seat uses premium dark red BMW leather and this chair was designed for individuals with larger body built. The Kaiser Series is recommended for 5’6″ to 6’8″ in height and can support up to 400lbs of weight. This is one big and extra-large sized gaming chair.

DXRacer King Series Gaming Chair
Last but definitely not the least, is the DXRacer King Series. Just like the Anda Seat Kaiser, the King Series gaming chair is also design for taller or bigger individuals. It’s ideal for gamers who are 5’6″ to 6’3″ tall and weighs around 135lbs to 225lbs. It uses a high density mold shaping foam wrapped with a Carbon-look Vinyl+Polyurethane (PU) leather. Like the noblechairs gaming chair’s the DXRacer King Series only reclines from 90° to 135°.

Above are simply the top 10 most comfortable and best gaming chairs you can buy this 20020! But wait there is still one more gaming chair I would like to include in this list. It’s a special mention, and this one is built with a feature that is not available on the gaming chairs I listed above.
GT Throne Vibrating Computer and Console Gaming Chair
The GT Throne (I thought Game of Thrones), is the “first and only gaming chair that uses proprietary, patented Tremor FX technology to incorporate dynamic vibration into your gameplay” according to the company. Think about an Xbox controller or a PS4 Dual Shock controller; but this time, instead of a controller it’s the chair that vibrates. It’s made from the usual premium materials like 10″ high density foam, steel frame and high quality PVC leather. But that vibration technology is what really makes this gaming chair unique. I’m a little bit skeptical with this chair since there are motors and mechanical parts involve. I just hope that the hardware will last, since it does give you the feeling of immersiveness; especially when you are playing first person shooter games or games with a lot of action happening. If you like some vibrating action happening with your chair, you might want to check this one out.
