With the release of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX SUPER 40 series graphics cards, board partners also announced their custom-designed models. The design of these new RTX 40 SUPER series cards is basically similar to their predecessors. You have the usual suspects like ROG Strix, Asus TUF, Gigabyte Windforce, Zotac AMP, etc. However, MSI did something new this time around. Aside from its usual lineup (SUPRIM, Gaming Series, and Ventus), MSI adds a new graphics card model – the MSI GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER EXPERT. Its color scheme reminds me of the old MSI EVOKE graphics card, but the GPU cooler design is akin to NVIDIA’s Founder Edition. MSI unveils the custom NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series
MSI introduces a new series of graphics cards featuring NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER GPUs. These cards offer cutting-edge graphics technology, efficient cooling, and high-performance circuit board design to meet the demands of enthusiast gamers and creators.
The latest GeForce RTX 40 SUPER GPUs provide a top-notch AI experience on PCs. Dedicated AI Tensor Cores offer up to 836 AI TOPS, enhancing AI capabilities for gaming, creative tasks, and everyday productivity. Catering to the high standards of PC gamers for visual quality, AI-driven NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technologies like Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction complement ray tracing, resulting in impressive virtual environments. DLSS efficiently generates seven out of eight pixels, leading to a 4x acceleration in full ray tracing and improved image quality.
MSI GeForce RTX 40 SUPER EXPERT Series
The EXPERT graphics card utilizes a push-pull airflow design to improve cooling efficiency. Its enclosure is made from Aluminum Die-Casting for structural strength, and it incorporates a Core Pipe and a Vapor Chamber to dissipate heat effectively. Additionally, a patented fan design ensures quiet yet reliable airflow.
MSI GeForce RTX 40 SUPER SUPRIM Series
The SUPRIM card prioritizes performance, efficiency, and a premium aesthetic. It employs TRI FROZR 3S, MSI’s advanced air cooling system, which efficiently dissipates heat using TORX FAN 5.0, up to 10 Core Pipes, Airflow Control fins with Wave-curved 3.0 edges, and air antegrade fins. Models based on RTX 4080 SUPER also feature a vapor chamber.
The exterior, adorned with brushed aluminum on both the cooler and backplate, enhances the card’s aesthetics and reinforces its durability. RGB Mystic Light offers customizable dynamic lighting options in a spectrum of colors. The card is equipped with Dual BIOS, allowing users to switch between low noise and enhanced performance easily.
MSI GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Gaming Trio Series
The GAMING TRIO graphics card comes in black or white, maintaining the MSI look with a focus on performance, cooling, and low noise. It features a TORX Fan 5.0 design with sets of three fan blades linked together, directing airflow into the updated TRI FROZR 3 cooling system. For the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER models, a nickel-plated copper baseplate captures heat in the core of the heatsink.

GAMING SLIM comes in black and white, featuring bold lines, clean edges, and subtle RGB accents for a sleek look. Despite its slim design, GAMING SLIM maintains advanced thermal capabilities using the TRI FROZR 3 cooling system found in GAMING TRIO. This includes TORX FAN 5.0, a nickel-plated copper baseplate, and a metal backplate with a flow-through opening.

The VENTUS series offers gamers a reliable and budget-friendly choice, prioritizing price and performance.
