Noctua NH-D9L chromax.black Dual Tower and Low Profile NH-L9x65 chromax.black CPU Coolers Released

Noctua coating its legendary CPU coolers in black finish is, I think, one of the best moves they did on their high-performance CPU coolers. Not only do they look sleek and blend well with most builds, but the black finish also prevents stains and corrosion on the heatsink. Noctua, today, released two more chromax.black CPU coolers, giving the NH-D9L and NH-L9x65 a new paint job. Sticking to the proven design of the initial models, the fresh chromax.black variants, featuring black fans and black-coated heatsinks, maintain the well-known silent cooling efficiency while boasting a stylish stealth appearance. Check out more details below, including their specs, pricing, and where to get one.

Noctua Releases chromax.black versions of NH-D9L and NH-L9x65 CPU Cooler

Noctua has introduced all-black versions of NH-D9L and NH-L9x65 CPU coolers in its chromax.black line. These new versions maintain the same signature quiet cooling performance while sporting a stylish, stealthy black design.

The NH-D9L chromax.black and NH-L9x65 chromax.black are identical to their regular counterparts, differing only in color. With black-coated heatsinks, black fans featuring black anti-vibration pads, black fan clips, and black mounting parts, they are entirely black in appearance. Despite the coating, they deliver the same renowned quiet cooling performance as the original models.

The NH-D9L is designed to offer excellent cooling efficiency with a height of just 110mm. Its low profile ensures full 3U compliance and makes it ideal for compact mini-ITX and Small Form Factor cases with parallel airflow paths. The 95x95mm footprint of the NH-D9L ensures compatibility with RAM and PCIe slots, even on ITX motherboards.

The NH-L9x65 strikes a balance between the larger NH-L12 series and the ultra-compact NH-L9i and NH-L9a series. With 65mm in height and four heat pipes, it offers more cooling power than its smaller siblings while maintaining a 95x95mm footprint. It also guarantees 100% RAM and PCIe compatibility on current motherboards and also makes the cooler more convenient to work with as it doesn’t overhang near-socket connectors.

Both coolers have NF-A9 and NF-A9x14 premium fans that support automatic speed control via PWM, ensuring quiet operation. They also feature Noctua’s SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system and NT-H1 thermal compound and come with a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty, offering a compact cooling solution for space-restricted systems.

Pricing and Availability

Both the NH-D9L chromax.black and NH-L9x65 chromax.black CPU coolers are now available and come with an MSRP of $74.90 and $69.90, respectively. Noctua is also offers a 6-year warranty for both CPU cooler.
