Corsair isn’t giving up on making a high-performance tower-type CPU air cooler. The A500, released several years ago, wasn’t so successful and was ridden with several issues, resulting in lackluster performance despite the attractive design and aesthetics. Fast forward to today, and Corsair is back with its all-new A115 high-performance tower CPU Air cooler. The Corsair A115 is a dual tower-type, similar to some of the popular CPU air coolers you see in the market. It retails for $99.99 and will compete against DeepCool Assassin IV, Cooler Master MasterAir MA824 Stealth, etc, at the same price point. It’s even slightly cheaper than the Noctua’s NH-D15 chromax black.
Reviews are now out, and based on the reviews from various media outlets, the Corsair A115 delivers this time. As I read several reviews, it’s not chart-topping or record-breaking. But it can compete against other dual-tower CPU air coolers. It can tame even the hottest Intel Core i9-14900K/13900K CPU, though under stock configuration only. Overclocking these hot CPUs still requires an excellent water-cooling setup. After all, the Corsair A115 is rated to handle up to 270W of TDP. The Corsair A115 is now available on Amazon here. More details from the news release below.
CORSAIR Launches the New A115 High-Performance Tower CPU Air Cooler
CORSAIR has introduced the A115 High-Performance Tower CPU Air Cooler, a new addition to its CPU cooling lineup. Designed to effectively manage the elevated temperatures from the latest Intel® and AMD® processors, the A115 stands out as CORSAIR’s most powerful and efficient air cooler. It comes with innovative features for straightforward installation and adjustment.
The A115 features six 6mm heat pipes and a high-efficiency copper cold plate at its core, designed to manage CPUs with up to 270W TDP. The cold plate’s slightly convex shape enhances contact with the CPU for optimal thermal transfer and stability. With 90 nickel-plated cooling fins, it offers a significant 1.69m² surface area to quickly dissipate heat after absorption.
The A115 features two CORSAIR AF140 ELITE Fans with AirGuide technology and anti-vortex vanes for concentrated airflow. These high-performance fans can reach up to 1,600 RPM, generating a low 33.9 dBA of noise with fluid dynamic bearings. The slimmed-down Slide-and-Lock fan mount system, equipped with a tool-free ratcheting mechanism, allows for variable mounting height, ensuring compatibility with various DRAM heights and facilitating easy memory module replacement.
The A115 is designed for a secure fit on high-performance CPUs, featuring the CORSAIR HoldFast 2.0 Retention System with brackets for Intel LGA 1700 and AMD AM5/AM4 sockets. It comes pre-applied with CORSAIR’s XTM70 thermal paste, ensuring optimal heat transfer upon installation.
