HYTE THICC Q60 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler Released, Features a Unique Display and Design

The PC DIY market is filled with various all-in-one liquid CPU coolers from manufacturers and companies. An Asetek-based cooler mostly dominates the market. But once in a while, a unique CPU cooler emerges. HYTE recently released its first all-in-one liquid CPU cooler – the THICC Q60. It’s not just any other AIO CPU cooler. It features a large LCD display with bright RGB lighting and an unusual design. I don’t know how good the THICC Q60 is. However, according to HYTE, it can cool up to a 356W CPU package power. However, I am more curious about its unique design, especially the display. It is definitely a showpiece and will look fantastic when installed on HYTE’s Y70 Touch case. More details from the news release below.

The THICC Q60 Digital Processor Cooling is HYTE’s First All-in-One Liquid CPU Cooler

HYTE, a prominent PC components and peripherals manufacturer, is launching its initial all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler, THICC Q60. Unveiled at Computex 2023, THICC Q60 aims to reshape the AIO liquid cooling landscape with its extensive digital IPS display, setting a benchmark for performance-to-noise ratios in the market.

According to Rob Teller, Product Director of HYTE:
“The THICC Q60 delivers ginormous thermal performance and obscene amounts of digital innovation,”. “This 240 will destroy any 360 AIO from our competition.”

Above the THICC Q60 CPU block, there’s a 5-inch ultraslim IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 and an impressive 293 pixels per inch. The display operates at a smooth 60Hz refresh rate, offering a visually pleasing experience with a brightness of 300 nits for a lifelike digital experience. Positioned behind the display panel is a 42-pixel qRGB array, illuminating system components and all settings are managed through the HYTE Nexus software.

The THICC Q60 incorporates dual harmonic pumps with aerospace-grade ceramic bearings in a 240mm by 52mm thick heat exchanger. This design efficiently circulates liquid with minimal noise. The large heat exchanger adopts a parallel dual-pass configuration, optimizing cooling capacity and efficiency. Additionally, a micro-skived copper cold plate enhances heat transfer, ensuring effective thermal performance for modern CPUs.

The THICC Q60 includes two 32mm THICC FP12 fans with robust Liquid Crystal Polymer blades, ensuring strength, durability, and effective aerodynamics. The fans offer dynamically adjustable speeds from 0 to 3,000 RPM, delivering a substantial 105.8 CFM airflow and 8.14 mm-H2O static pressure. The cooler features a zero RPM fan mode, halting fan blades for silent operation during light workloads. THICC FP12 fans and the THICC Q60 connect through a Nexus Link Type-M channel.

Customizing the THICC Q60 is made easy with HYTE’s Nexus software. It allows users to adjust pump and fan curves based on various sensor data, create multiple profiles, and view real-time performance, temperature, and usage statistics. The software also visualizes the sequential node network, including AmpScale health information and more. THICC Q60 is part of HYTE’s Nexus Link Ecosystem, allowing sequential connection of up to 18 devices on a single channel and up to 34 devices across both channels through 1 x Nexus Link Type-C and 1 x Nexus Link Type-M ports.

Pricing and Availability

THICC Q60 can be purchased on HYTE’s online store in the United States and Canada, starting at $299.99 USD. It is expected to be globally available in the first quarter of 2024.
