The only PC component that doesn’t have an RGB is the CPU itself, though you can’t see the CPU since a CPU cooler covers it. Recently, there’s a trend where LCD is placed on some peripherals or components. There are AIO liquid coolers with LCDs, motherboards, cases like the Hyte Y70 Touch, and (now) case fans! Yes, who would have guessed that case fans would have LCD too? Lian Li recently released its Uni Fan TL Series. It comes in two variants: the Uni Fan TL LCD, the one with the display, and the Uni Fan TL (no display). More details from the news below.
LIAN LI Redefines the Art of Cooling with the UNI FAN TL LCD and UNI FAN TL
Lian Li Uni Fan Series Highlights:

LIAN LI Industrial Co. Ltd. has introduced a new series of interconnected fans, namely the UNI FAN TL LCD and UNI FAN TL. The UNI FAN TL LCD has a built-in 1.6″ LCD display featuring 400×400 pixel resolution, offering full customization through L-Connect. Users can personalize the LCD display by utilizing various formats such as GIF, MP4, JPG, and PNG files, or they can choose to showcase system sensor information like CPU speed or temperature.
The UNI FAN TL provides an optimized fan experience with noise reduction and enhanced performance, incorporating LCP blades and FDB bearing with copper shielding. Both models present an updated lighting design with two LED zones integrated into a diffused RGB strip at the top and bottom of the frame, encircling the mounting points of the fans. These models are available in black and white, with sizes ranging from 120mm to 140mm, and in regular and reverse airflow configurations.
Lian Li Uni Fan TL LCD Fans
The UNI FAN TL LCD features a 1.6″ LCD IPS screen positioned at the fan’s center, offering a resolution of 400 x 400. This display can showcase various system details, such as CPU temperature, CPU load, GPU temperature, GPU load, and fan speed. Users can enjoy personalization by utilizing GIF, MP4, JPG, and PNG file formats for the LCD display.
The L-Connect software allows for individual or synchronized customization across multiple fans. The UNI FAN TL LCD controller supports up to 7 LCD fans simultaneously, with each port accommodating up to 3 UNI FAN TL LCD fans. This enables users to mix groups of TL and TL LCD fans for a balanced blend of performance and aesthetic customization.
Lian Li Uni Fan TL Fans
The UNI FAN TL incorporates a 9-blade design made from sturdy Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP), ensuring blade integrity at high speeds. The fan blades, with thicknesses of 0.65mm for TL 120 and 1.0mm for TL 140, are positioned closer to the fan frame within an overall frame thickness of 28mm. This configuration increases blade surface area, resulting in enhanced performance.
The UNI FAN TL also utilizes Fluid Dynamic bearings (FDB) for the fan motor, promoting smoother and quieter operation. Combining a thicker frame, robust LCP blades, and FDB technology contributes to impressive performance and minimized noise levels.
Infinity RGB Customization
The UNI FAN TL and TL LCD feature large infinity mirrors on both sides of the frame, complemented by a diffused RGB strip along the edges of the anti-vibration pads. This lighting design creates a seamless effect when connected in clusters. The top and bottom LEDs are divided into two zones, allowing individual control through L-Connect.
Users can use the interlocking mechanism from the original UNI FANs to create fan clusters powered by a single cable (supporting up to 10 fans on a single port for the UNI FAN TL or up to 3 UNI FAN TL LCDs per port). With an individual IC in each fan, L-Connect automatically detects and manages each fan, optimizing system airflow while intelligently identifying fan size and location within each group.
